The NARM Training Institute presents,
NARM &Treating Dissociative Identity Disorder: Exploring Unresolved Trauma Patterns in Clients with DID
NARM Therapist Erin Lewis, MS, LCMHC, NCC
hosted by NARM Training Director and Senior Faculty Brad Kammer, LMFT, LPCC
This webinar explores how the NeuroAffective Relational Model (NARM) can strengthen intersystem communication in the treatment of dissociative identity disorder (DID) as well as encouraging healthy agency from an adult consciousness (present day) lens. Research indicates the interplay of DID with unresolved C-PTSD. Individuals with DID have exceptional difficulty integrating their experiences of complex trauma. The complex adaptive strategies, including splitting, denial and repression, often leads to severe compartmentalization of experiences. However, NARM can be used to effectively integrate these experiences. Due to the lack of information clinicians have around DID and the myths that are believed in the field, this webinar will also encompass some general DID information as well as common myths clinicians hold. Furthermore, this webinar discusses using NARM with clients who have DID, common difficulties NARM therapists face when treating DID, and solutions and suggestions for these issues that may arise.
This webinar is pre-recorded, and the slides, a video recording, and a transcript are available for one year upon purchase.
