Continuing Education (CE) Information for

Introduction to NARM Webinars

Please note that the information below applies only to Introduction to NARM webinars (free, 1-hour live webinars) hosted by the NARM Training Institute, LLC. Intro to NARM events offered by partner organizations of the NARM Training Institute are not included.

Are Continuing Education (CE) credits available for these webinars?

Yes! Beginning in May 2026, each Introduction to NARM free webinar offers 1 Continuing Education (CE) credit hour per webinar.

The CE Certificate of Attendance is available the day after the live webinar takes place. Each CE Certificate of Attendance is worth 1 CE credit hour and is available free of charge.

Training participants must attend the entirety of an Introduction webinar (live, in real time, on Zoom) in order to qualify to receive the CE credit. No CE credit is awarded for watching webinar recordings, and no partial CE credit is awarded for partial attendance. Only real-time live attendance qualifies for CE credit, and attendance will be verified by checking Zoom attendance reports before a CE Certificate of Attendance is awarded.

How do I receive a CE Certificate of Attendance for attending an Introduction to NARM webinar?

CE Certificates of Attendance will be available the day after the live Introduction to NARM webinar takes place. You will be emailed a link via the email address used to sign up for the webinar. Click on that link, then complete and submit your CE Evaluation and Application. Once your full attendance has been verified, you will be emailed your CE Certificate of Attendance.

Once we receive your CE Evaluation and Application and verify your attendance, you will receive your CE Certificate of Attendance within five (5) to seven (7) business days.

Is there anything else I need to know about CEs for Introduction to NARM webinars?

Yes! There are a few other key things for you to know about CEs offered for these webinars. See the rest of the fine print below:

It is the participant's responsibility to check their individual credentialing body's or state board's rules and regulations to verify CE requirements for their particular license/credentials. The NARM Training Institute, LLC cannot be held responsible for tracking all state licensing requirements on behalf of each participant.
Participants have three (3) months from the date of the webinar to apply for a CE Certificate of Attendance for that webinar.
A CE Certificate of Attendance is not the same as any of the following NARM certificates: a NARM-Informed Professional Certificate, a NARM Therapist / Pracitioner Certificate, or a NARM Master Therapist / Practitioner Certificate. These NARM Professional Certificates are wholly different than the CE Certificate of Attendance. Receipt of any NARM Professional Certificate does not constitute CE credit for Introduction to NARM webinars. Program Description, Registration, and Learning Objectives

This one-hour introductory webinar provides a brief overview of the NeuroAffective Relational Model® (NARM®), a model for working with complex and developmental trauma. Program content also includes distinctions between shock trauma and developmental trauma, the role of adverse childhood experiences (ACEs) in shaping later-life outcomes, and key differences between PTSD and Complex PTSD (CPTSD).

The program includes approximately 50–55 minutes of instructional content, including live teaching and educational Q&A, along with approximately 5 minutes of information on further learning opportunities from the NARM Training Institute.

Registration for this program is open to all helping professionals. Registration requirements include submission of name and email address to the NARM Training Institute.

Lead Presenter

Ralf Marzen, Dipl. Psych.

Ralf Marzen, Dipl. Psych. is a clinical psychologist, trauma psychotherapist, and NARM Teacher based in London, UK. He is the founder and director of Embodied Trauma Healing and has over 15 years of experience in private practice, specializing in developmental and complex trauma. Ralf has been actively training practitioners in NARM since 2013 and serves as a NARM faculty member in Europe, where he also regularly assists Dr. Laurence Heller in NARM Master Therapist Trainings. Passionate about embodied approaches to healing, Ralf is dedicated to supporting practitioners in developing trauma-informed skills with presence, depth, and compassion.

Sherri Sharkins, LPC, SEP

Sherri Sharkins, MA, LAC, SEP is a licensed counselor and NARM Master Therapist with 15 years of experience in private practice and case consultation in Sedona, AZ. She co-hosts the monthly NARM Inner Circle Webinars with Dr. Laurence Heller and has assisted his NARM Therapist and NARM Masters Trainings in the United States. Sherri currently serves as a Lead Training Assistant and mentor for other TAs in the NARM Therapist Trainings and as a TA in the Masters Trainings hosted by the Complex Trauma Training Center.
