FREE & ONLINE End-of-the-Year NARM Community Celebration
Music as a Vehicle for Healing Complex Trauma
with Lauren McQuistin, Scottish soprano, and Brad Kammer, NARM Training Director
December 30, 2022
9:00 am - 10:00 am Pacific Time
on YouTube Live
The NARM Training Institute is thrilled to celebrate our international NARM community - we appreciate the thousands of NARM Helping Professionals who have been working tirelessly over these past couple years to support individuals, families and communities as we’ve been moving through the pandemic and all the other social, political and ecological challenges. We wanted to share in some music and fun to recognize and celebrate our community, and anyone else that is working to bring support and healing into our world.
This year, we are excited for Scottish soprano, Lauren McQuistin, to join the celebration! Lauren has performed in Scotland, England, Italy, Germany, Russia and all over the USA. She was awarded district winner in the Metropolitan Opera National Council auditions in St Louis, Seattle and Nashville. She is also a passionate teacher, focusing on emotional and physical health. She presented her research on The Effects of Childhood Sexual Abuse at the Indiana University International New Voice Teachers Symposium in 2017, and has lectured in pedagogy classes at Indiana University on the subject.
As a writer, Lauren is working on a book about sobriety, recovery and how to find joy whilst living with C-PTSD, and is looking to further her research on the use of the voice and singing to aid recovery from traumatic experiences.
Join us as Brad and Lauren discuss using music as a vehicle for healing complex trauma and for the opportunity to Lauren’s exceptionally talented voice.
